Bible Warning Label

* Please note I am not agreeing with this label. I found this photo on several web sites describing what a parental advisory type of warning label would look like on the Bible describing its contents. I don't know who originally created it (although if anyone knows I would like to find out who it was). Even though it is a gross misprepresentation of the heart of the Bible and only focuses on the acts that occurred within it - I can't help but think that it really does represent the viewpoint of many outside of the church - at least the ones I have talked with.

I included this as an example and just finished writing an apologetical response to what this label raises in a chapter in the "They Like Jesus but not the Church" book I am finishing up. I do believe those who are followers of Jesus need to be able to answer the questions of why is there so much violence, stories of incest, murder, etc. in the Bible - and when someone reads the various things within it, how do we explain them. You can click on the image to read the label more closely or read it below.
